Rev. Lillian G. Nye was called to Theodore Parker Church as parish minister in August 2002. She conducts worship services two or three Sundays a month, facilitates religious education classes for adults, provides pastoral care to members of all ages, and encourages the shared ministry of the congregation by supporting its committee work, church school program, and other endeavors. She brings to her ministry a longtime interest in spiritual development as well as a commitment to social engagement.

Rev. Nye has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and religion from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a master of divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School. Rev. Nye has announced her intention to resign from the ministry at the end of the church year in June 2012 so she can pursue further education in preparation for a career in psychological counseling. The Standing Committee will soon be hiring an interim minister to serve the congregation while the search for a new minister is under way.
