SUMMARY:A Series of Conversations: True Stories about Race
DESCRIPTION:We offer our continuing series\, “True Stories about Race\,” in partnership with Temple Hillel B’nai Torah. This series urges us to share stories that have moved us\, as stories bring about the possibility of reconciliation through the creation of empathy. In a series of monthly sessions\, we seek out\, share\, and listen to true stories of what it means\, or has meant\, to be black or brown in America. The format is a discussion based on stories that have moved us personally\, facilitated by Josh Frank\, a former teacher and administrator in racially diverse school districts and a member of a local synagogue. The series meets on the third Saturday of the month from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. in the parlor. The next session is December 16. No RSVP or preparation necessary.
