DESCRIPTION:With her powerful voice and prodigious guitar skills\, Kerri Powers can do it all — blues\, soul\, original folk rock\, and even a twang of country folk. \nKerri was a regular in her teens and twenties in New England\, then took time off to raise a family. In 2014\, she jumped back into the music scene and has been unstoppable ever since. Her album “Love Is Why” hit the Roots Music Report Chart as the #1 Acoustic Blues Album in 2023\, and her single\, “When it Rains\,” held the #1 spot for rock song for several weeks. \nKerri not only plays the usual clubs and festivals around the country; she also teaches at WUMB’s Summer Acoustic Music Week. \nAdmission $25\, $15 for under age 21.
