SAVE THE DATES!!!
Ministerial Search Candidating Week, May 4 – 11
VOTE!  Sunday, May 11 at Noon, Parish Hall
A message from the Ministerial Search Committee:
We are pleased to announce that our first choice candidate has accepted our call!  A detailed announcement will be coming out very soon.  We plan to introduce her to the congregation during the week of May 4 – 11, prior to the congregational vote on Sunday, May 11 at noon.  She will preach at TPC on Sundays May 4th and 11th.  Further details about coffee hour gatherings, potluck suppers and other events planned for that week will be available soon.
Candidating Week Highlights:
The week of Sunday, May 4 – Sunday, May 11:  During the week prior to the congregational vote we would like all church members to have an opportunity to meet the candidate and to hear her preach.  Below is a summary of key events.  (Specific event details will be completed in April after our candidate has been selected and has had an opportunity to participate in the planning process.)
Sunday, May 4:  The candidate will be introduced and will preach at our morning service to kick off Candidating Week.  After that service all members and friends are invited to meet the candidate during fellowship hour.
Sunday, May 4 through Saturday, May 10:  Throughout the week, a series of pot-luck dinners, small group meetings, and a few larger gatherings will be held.  Those events will give every church member an opportunity to meet the candidate in an informal setting, to hear from him/her, and ask questions.  While everyone is welcome to attend any event, we expect you will select an event that best fits your schedule.  We will be asking committees to host or co-host potluck dinners in their homes most evenings that week.  We will also offer some daytime andSaturday events.  Details:  TBD.
Sunday, May 11, 10:30 a.m.:  The candidate will preach at our morning service.
Sunday, May 11, at noon:  VOTE!  After the candidate departs, there will be a meeting of the congregation to vote on whether to call the candidate to be our next settled minister.
Candidating Week will be another “all hands on deck” effort at Theodore Parker Church (TPC) and we thank you in advance for your support as we juggle schedules, hosts, and events to assure that we all have a chance to meet the candidate prior to the vote.
