Here at TPC, there are so many ways to get involved and connected. Maybe you’ve been around for a little while and are looking for a few more ways to help out, or maybe you are newer and are looking for some easy ways to get connected. Here are a few opportunities that you can do just once or can participate in on an ongoing basis, can sign up for mid-year, and are actively looking for more volunteers and participants!

Caring Ministry Team Email List 

Our Caring Ministry Team coordinates care for members of our congregation in times of need, and they rely on many people to provide this support. If you want to offer an occasional meal, ride, or send a condolence or get well note, please sign up for their email list.

Choir

Our choir is open to all voices and rehearses 3 out of 4 Sundays a month from 9-10am. They sing during the service about twice a month.

Coffee Hour

Help host coffee hour! Arrive by 9:45 to help set up and make coffee, and do clean up after the service (finishing around 1pm). You don’t need to provide food, and we’ll pair you with an experienced coffee hour host.

Diana’s List

Named for a beloved congregant, Diana Digges, who passed away in 2022, Diana’s list explores and takes action on issues of justice for Palestine.

Game Night 

On the 4th Friday of every month, our Religious Education program hosts an all-ages game night in our Parish Hall from 6-8pm with pizza, socializing, and games. All ages are welcome, even if you don’t have kids in the program!

Greeters

Greeters greet people as they come into the church, and collect the offering during the service. Arrive by 10am, you’ll be done by noon after closing up the sanctuary. You’ll be paired with an experienced greeter.

Immigration Justice Team

A newly formed email list, the Immigration Justice Team is exploring the ways that TPC can be involved in local immigration justice efforts.

Music On Centre

Hosting five or six folk concerts a year, Music on Centre is a fundraising concert series and there are many opportunities to help put up fliers around town, set up, do box office sales, or make and sell baked goods.

Plant Sale

One of our annual fundraisers in mid-May, the plant sale collects gardening supplies and plants from member’s gardens and sells them to the wider community. There are many opportunities to help with preparation or sign up for a shift day-of!

Plazuelas-Parker Project

The Plazuelas-Parker Project (or PPP) connects with and supports our sibling community in Plazuelas, El Salvador.

Property Team 

Our Property Team takes care of our beloved building. Are you handy? Do you love project management? Would you be excited about doing some landscaping and garden maintenance?

Spirituality and Aging

For those over the age of 65, we have a once a month drop-in discussion group that explores issues of aging and spirituality.

Volunteer with RE

There are so many ways to get involved in our Children’s Religious Education program! From ongoing teaching opportunities to once-in-a-while needs, from preschool to teens, chat with our Religious Educator, Rose, about what might be a good fit for you.

Winter Fair

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, this year on November 21st. There are so many roles that make the Fair possible– from publicity or donating Home Goods, selling items at the bake sale or making soups to sell, from decorating to staffing tables day of– this is a widespread community effort and there are many ways large or small to contribute!

Worship Tech Support: Operating our Zoom or Livestream Camera 

Each week we have one volunteer operating our livestream camera and one volunteer acting as “Zoom Host”. Training and orientation available, looking for people to volunteer during worship about once every eight weeks.
