Film: “Tell Them We Are Rising: The Story of Black Colleges and Universities”

A haven for Black intellectuals, artists and revolutionaries — and path of promise toward the American dream — , Black colleges and universities have educated the architects of freedom movements and cultivated leaders in every field. For the first time, their story is told.
The screening is sponsored by the Racial Justice Task Force. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the film begins at 7 p.m. This event is free, with popcorn provided. The film is appropriate for high school age and older.
This film is the first of the Friday Night Justice Films the task force is sponsoring this year. Information on the other four films in the series can be found here.
