Midwives or Moses: Honoring Passover

The Passover seder (ritual meal) begins with the retelling of the Israelites crying out for justice as slaves in Egypt, and throughout the course of the night, leads up to redemption and songs of joyous praise. Passover is a holiday which calls us to work for the liberation of all, that none of us are free if any of us are still in bondage. But how do we go about that work of liberation? What do we do when we hear the cries of the oppressed? We’ll reflect on two sources of inspiration from the story of the exodus, and together, we’ll envision our redemption.
