In accord with our congregation’s focus this year on racial justice, long-time church member Dr. Robert Colgrove will discuss how analysis of ancient human DNA refutes racist mythologies of immutable racial division, showing instead that human history is characterized by wave after wave of mixing and rejoining between peoples. This new appreciation suggests an outlook that embraces our diversity as an ongoing, dynamic part of our humanity.
