Updated COVID Protocols

Medical risks are no longer what they were and are now comparable with the risks of other respiratory viruses. We need to balance the medical risks with people’s concerns and their social, psychological, and emotional concerns. We should be prepared to adjust the policy as risk requires.

The area by the windows will be reserved for people wearing masks. The rest of the sanctuary will be mask optional.

Choir members will be required to wear masks in rehearsals, which last for up to an hour with people sitting close together. In services, choir members will not be required to wear masks and should spread out.

When a person is symptomatic, it is critical that they stay home and join the service on Zoom. This is a reasonable policy that balances varying concerns. Masks during coffee hour and small group meetings are optional, though in meetings, if anyone requests that others wear masks, everyone should comply.
