You have probably noticed that under the energetic leadership of Kit Shaw and Laura Maltby, we are talking a lot more about TPC’s sister community in Plazuelas. A real partnership is beginning to take shape!

Among the many activities being planned by the Plazuelas-Parker Project (PPP) is a trip to visit the community later this year. The trip will take place November 30 – December 7, 2025. We hope that, with advance notice, more people will be able to join us. 

It is quite warm in El Salvador, and conditions on the trip will be those of travel in a low-income country. For a variety of reasons, personal security in El Salvador for international visitors is less of a concern than at any time in the past several decades. We will do everything possible to make the trip safe and accessible for our community.  

Please consider joining other members of the congregation — and some friends of TPC — on what we are sure will be an unforgettable experience. We know you’ll have questions, so we’ll sponsor a meeting before the end of the church year to discuss the planned trip and answer as many questions as we can.
